Stefan Scott leads Spencer Stuart’s Calgary office and is a member of the global Industrial Practice. With more than 15 years of executive search experience, Stefan has recruited senior executives and board members to both domestic and international companies in agribusiness, natural resources, oil and gas, power and utilities, and renewables. He focuses on the global energy transition and solving strategic talent challenges in commodity-driven sectors.
Stefan has conducted more than 300 board director and executive search assignments and is also a proud recipient of the firm’s Lou Rieger Quality Award for client service.

- Stefan has extensive experience recruiting energy CEOs, COOs, operating and technical executives. He has also recruited functional human resources and technology leaders across industry sectors. Stefan has deep expertise working with agribusiness, oil and gas, electric utilities, independent power producers and renewable energy companies.
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Stefan served as a principal at another executive search firm, where he was responsible for recruitment of senior-level and C-suite leaders in a wide range of industries.
- Stefan began his career as a consultant in public relations and corporate communications with Hill & Knowlton.
Stefan earned his bachelor’s degree from Mount Royal University and his M.B.A. from the University of Calgary.
