Fernando Aparicio leads Spencer Stuart’s Bogota office and conducts searches within the firm’s Financial Services, Professional & IT Services and Industrial practices. In particular, he has extensive experience in corporate and investment banking and in the mining sector.
Deep financial services expertise
- Fernando brings more than 21 years of professional experience to his client work, including a role as vice president and senior relationship banker at ABN AMRO in Bogota, responsible for a portfolio of clients in Colombia and North America. He focused on origination and execution of share-of-mind products, such as cross-border structured financing, mergers and acquisitions, debt capital markets and project advisory.
- Fernando also was head of commercial banking at Banco Santander (Colombia), where he led a team of 17 relationship bankers responsible for middle-market clients. In addition, he served as a product manager at Banco Bilbao Vizcaya Argentaria (BBVA) in the capital markets division, with a focus on M&A transactions.
Fernando earned an M.B.A. from Instituto de Empresa in Madrid and a B.S. in economics from Universidad Javeriana in Bogota.
