Alex Doire is a member of Spencer Stuart’s global Industrial Practice, leading the firm’s advisory business with the metals and mining sector in Canada and advising clients across the spectrum of natural resources, infrastructure and process industries. Based in Montreal, Alex has led over 200 searches, including an extensive number of pan-North American and international assignments, with functional emphasis on board directors, CEOs, general management, operations, supply chain, EH&S, sustainability and project delivery.
Alex also plays a lead role in the firm’s corporate affairs-related client work in Canada, having placed senior practitioners in communications and government relations across multiple industries.
Executive search expertise with industrial focus
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Alex spent several years with another international executive search firm and led projects across a broad range of sectors, including metals and mining, industrial, consumer, retail and financial services.
- Throughout his career, he has served large public companies, crown corporations and a number of private equity-backed companies across industries.
Alex holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in philosophy from the Université de Montréal. He remains involved with the university and recently served as Vice-Chair of its Alumni Association. He is an alumna of the Governor General’s Canadian Leadership Conference. He is fluent in French and English.
