Based in Düsseldorf, Dr. Simone Siebeke is a consultant in Spencer Stuart’s Financial Officer, Human Resources and Consumer practices. Simone brings to the firm an international background and more than 20 years of experience in HR, finance and fast-moving consumer goods. She specializes in recruiting female leaders for board and C-level positions.
Extensive global human resources expertise
- Prior to joining Spencer Stuart, Simone worked at Henkel, a leading consumer goods company in Germany, as well as the European Communities (EC) in Brussels.
- At Henkel, Simone held various senior strategic and operational roles. In the HR sector, she was responsible for all director-level and supervisory board topics, and thereafter she globally headed HR for the finance division, followed by beauty care. As corporate vice president of strategy and organizational effectiveness, she was in charge of personnel development, recruitment and compensation & benefits for Henkel globally. She primarily focused on leadership development, evaluations, pipeline development, and succession and change management.
- Earlier in her career, Simone focused mostly on negotiating joint ventures and M&A deals, rooted in a tax law background. Prior to this, she led Henkel’s corporate social responsibility division, after having worked in the area of procurement.
Simone studied law in Germany and Switzerland, followed by a doctorate in economic law. A native German speaker, she is also fluent in English.
