Based in Spencer Stuart’s Singapore office, Arnaud Despierre leads the Industrial Practice in Asia Pacific, where he places board members, chief executive officers and other C-level executives for oil and gas, power, chemicals, manufacturing, engineering, infrastructure, metals and mining and transportation companies. His functional areas of expertise include general management, sales and marketing, operations, finance and human resources. Arnaud is also a member of the Business & Professional Services and Life Sciences practices, with a focus on the medical technology sector.
Arnaud has lived in eight different countries over the past 15 years. Drawing on this extensive international background, he frequently conducts assignments in Malaysia and Indonesia as well as for Asian companies looking to expand their reach into Western markets.
Before joining Spencer Stuart, Arnaud worked for McKinsey & Company in Canada and Southeast Asia, where he consulted with industrial clients on an array of issues, including organizational restructuring, performance transformation, human resources management and leadership development. In addition, he contributed to the performance transformation of several national oil companies in Southeast Asia. He began his career with Rolls Royce Energy, supporting the development of industrial gas turbines for oil and gas and electrical power generation applications, as well as marine gas turbine engines for the U.K. Royal Navy and U.S. Navy.
Arnaud is a graduate of the Institut National des Sciences Appliquées in France and holds a Master of Science from Cranfield University and an M.B.A. with high distinction from the University of Michigan. He is fluent in English and French and conversational in Mandarin and Bahasa.
